Ordering lead time & Demand

All of our cupcakes and iced individual cakes are handmade in small batches. That's what makes them taste so yummy. However sometimes this means that we might not be able to meet demand. We will however tell you this when you confirm dates to avoid any disappointment. So as you are not disappointed, we'd love it if you can give us as much notice as possible, let's say at least 3 days. If of course it's an impromptu thing like the birth of a baby or a marriage proposal, then do call us and we'll see what we can do for you. If we can, we will!

For orders of 50 cakes or more, we require a minimum of 7 days notice.

The more time we have, especially in wedding season, the less chance you have of being disappointed, so book your dates early.

Minimum order size

As we make our cakes specifically to order (so they're always fresh) the minimum order size is 12 of any one flavour. 12 delicious cupcakes won't go very far, so we advise you always order more (we would wouldn't we!)

Deposit & Payment terms

For orders of 50 cakes or more, we require 50% deposit upon ordering and the balance is payable one month before. However for orders placed with less than one month's notice, full payment is required at order stage.

For orders of less than 50 cakes, payment is required at order stage and cheques must be clear prior to delivery or collection. Stand hire charges apply if you are using one of our lovely stands, as do refundable deposits. These will be clearly stated on your estimate and order form. Payment is accepted via paypal online (we will send you an invoice to make it easy - just click and pay either by paypal or your card), cheque as long as there is sufficient time for it to clear before your cakes are ready, bank transfer or good old fashioned cash.

Cancellations

If you change your mind about the flavour or design of your cupcakes, as long as we haven't started making them, then call us and we'll be happy to change your order to suit your new request. As long as we have the ingredients, and the price is the same, then it's no big deal. We want you to be happy with your cupcakes. However if your original order involved us ordering very specific items, this cost would be charged to you.

Should you cancel your order, depending on time scale and order quantity, charges may apply. Please advise Sprinkles and Swirls immediately of your intentions.

Delivery & Collection

Sprinkles and Swirls cakes can be collected directly from us or delivered to you or a requested address. Delivery is by arrangement only and free in the local areas of Crowborough and Tunbridge Wells. All other areas will be quoted at the time of booking. It is essential that when delivery is confirmed, someone is in to receive the cupcakes. Cupcakes don't like being left on the doorstep out in the cold or the sun for that matter. If for any reason you are not in, if we can re-deliver we will, however charges will apply. Otherwise, you will need to collect your cakes from us.

Ingredients

We aim to use only the best and finest quality ingredients to guarantee that our cupcakes taste as good as they look. We only use free range eggs and fair trade chocolate and cocoa.

Whilst our cupcakes do not contain nuts (unless stated), they are made in a kitchen where nuts are present and used.

All our cakes contain gluten, eggs and dairy products, so are not suitable for those suffering from intolerances or allergies to these particular foods, unless of course, gluten or dairy free cakes have been specifically ordered.

Packaging

Our cupcakes are packaged safely in boxes specifically designed for cupcakes. As such, they should arrive to you in the same perfect condition that they leave us in. Once you take your cupcakes from us, they are yours to treasure. They don't make any noise, so remember to drive carefully!

Privacy

Privacy is important to us, and we respect that it's important to you too. We promise to never share your details with anyone, and we won't store your details (unless of course you ask us to so you can receive our e-letter about yummy new cupcakes...).
