Cupcakes for Charity
It’s always nice to give back, and once a year a friend and I (she’s a cakehead too!) get together, have a baking marathon, and then spend the following day running from office to office, Anneka Rice styly (showing my age here!!) and sell as many cupcakes as possible! All the profits go to our chosen charity. Last time we did this for ChYps, raising over £600 for this amazing charity.
This year, we have chosen to donate the proceeds to the Pickering Cancer drop in Centre in Tunbridge Wells. We are all touched by cancer in some way or another, and therefore as a local charity, it’s definitely worthy of support. The Pickering Cancer drop in centre is a self-funding registered charity. It was established by a group of cancer patients, who recognised the need for somewhere to go, to relax and talk with others in a similar situation. They also realised that families, friends and carers needed a place to find information and talk freely, without burdening the patient or each other. To find out more, please have a look at their website:
We’re hitting lots of offices on Thursday this week, amongst them Index, The Courier, One Media, Nexus H, 2020 Media Vision, all the companies in Calverley House, and similarly all the companies in Wellington Gate, so get your cash at the ready, and in return enjoy a scrummy home made cupcake!! Beats doing a run for money!!
